Time to celebrate, peeps! My fourth book, SALTY CHEESY HERBY CRISPY SNACKABLE BAKES, is out in the world today and I couldn’t be more excited. As you’ve likely heard me say before, Salty Cheesy is the savory little sibling of Snackable Bakes, my third book, which pubbed two years ago. And I love these two book babies the most (please don’t tell my first two) because they are such deliciously honest and “real” examples of how I bake at home (aka easily and with zero fuss).
Anyway, just wanted to put my love for this book (and the one that inspired it) out in the world today and hope that if you have not yet picked up a copy, that this inspires you to do so. And if a signed copy tickles your salty fancy (you can see me signing away at Oblong Books above), might I suggest you order from here. Oh, and if you have preordered, first of all THANK YOU, and second of all, please consider leaving a review on Amazon - even if you did not buy your book there! Reviews are so helpful to authors and I’d be over the (cheesy) moon if you left the book one. Oh, and if you’d like a read a couple of reviews of the book over on the worldwide web, that have put a little pep in my step, check this out over on Forbes and this over at Esquire.
And because I am asking so much of you (buy a book! leave a review!) I want to give you something in return, which is (drum roll, please) a recipe from the book! So, I am sharing the Herby Yogurt Biscuits with you, on Salty Cheesy’s birthday, no less . . . This recipe is pretty special as it calls for melted butter - crazy in a biscuit, I know - AND yogurt, which adds wonderful tenderness and a little tang. The recipe can be found here.
In addition to gifting a Salty Cheesy recipe to you, I also wanted to share my book tour dates! As you can see, it is a relatively robust tour with stops in NYC, LA, SF, Upstate NY, Chicago, Milwaukee Boston, Napa, and Washington DC! Please come say hi if you live in one of these cities. Now, I won’t lie: I am a tad worried about staying healthy and energized through it all. As such, I’ve decided to stay in hotels in each city, even if I have local friends extending offers to host me; as I think the downtime in a “room of my own;” plus room service (which is basically my favorite food when served in bed), will be just the antidote to the long days when I am required (in the best way) to be “on.” And if you’re wondering how we chose the cities we chose for the tour, in fact Cherry Bombe had much to do with it, as in many of the aforementioned cities, I will be doing live She’s My Cherry Pie podcast events …
I am so excited that the book is finally in the world, as I have been prepping tirelessly for its arrival by promoting it with many of my pals like Justine Doiron and Christina Tosi and Dan Pelosi and Zoe Francois . . . and though I loved every minute of those collabs, I am so happy that the pre-order push is over, and that now the book is just straight up available, wherever books are sold.
Oh, and finally, two last things: in case you're wondering what I will be wearing to the launch party this evening, this is it. Cute, right? And also, wanted to just say thank you so much for subscribing to this newsletter and being part of my Salty Cheesy journey since the beginning. Means the world.
My preorder copy just arrived!!! So excited for you Jessie!
Loving my copy already! You mentioned Milwaukee, but I don’t see an event listed? Congratulations!
