A Newsy Letter about . . . PUMPKIN!!
Alright, first things first, peeps, I am going to try my darnedest going forward to NOT re-share recipes in one newsletter, that I have already shared in another! My friend Jennifer inadvertently alerted me to the fact that I shared my pumpkin banana bread TWICE – in two consecutive newsletters – and that just gives me all the agita – and thus I am going to try really hard to make sure that NEVER happens again. Phew. Got that off my chest.
Second, Snackable Bakes is STILL sold out on Amazon (I mean they say you’ll get your copy on October 21st . . . but you can’t get it stat, which IMHO is what we all want – you know, instant gratification and all that). And it’s sold out on bookshop.org and now at Book Larder! I know that should make me feel grand, but it just makes me feel anxious. BUT, there are some indie bookstores and even a museum shop and the behemoth that is Barnes & Nobles which still have Snackable Bakes in stock – if by any chance you are desperate for a copy.
So now you know: I’ve got agita from repeating recipes in newsletters and anxiety about my book being sold out – but never fear, I am on my way to Milwaukee for the Midwest leg of my book tour, and that does indeed make me feel fab. So, in short, all good.
In other news, I was in Minneapolis at the end of August and got to do a fab segment on KARE11 at the Minnesota State Fair!! It was such a treat to make cake on a stage in a tent at a fair that I can’t even tell you.
In other recipe news, I have a LOT of pumpkin treats to share with you. First, there is Pumpkin Bread Pudding – and I don’t know about you, but bread pudding is my favorite food and although I am not a HUGE fan of pumpkin (sorry, haters) I added chocolate chips to this baby and wowza is she ever fab.
But I didn’t stop there with the pumpkin and chocolate (which is a match made in heaven, in case you did not know). I then developed a recipe for a Pumpkin Tiramisu that is topped with a thick layer of sifted cocoa powder – gorgeous to look at, delicious to eat.
Finally, I’ve become a little bit of a snickerdoodle aficionado and so I gave them the old pumpkin spin and am happy to share with you a recipe for chewy and lightly spiced and perfect and EASY . . . Pumpkin Snickerdoodles.
And there you have it peeps. Hope these pumpkin recipes tickle your fall baking fancy . . . until next time . . .
