Snackable Bakes is here!
Hello, peeps and oh gosh: today (Tuesday May 3rd) is a terrifically special day as it is launch day for SNACKABLE BAKES! Today my third book baby is finally out in the world, and I am so excited to see what you all think of her. Now, if you are unable to show me what you think, because you forgot to preorder a copy, no worries. You can now order her wherever books are sold (this link will bring you to Amazon, because some people find that easiest, but on my website I’ve linked to a variety of stores). Oh, and here’s a photo of the cover in case you forgot just how gorgeous she is and to get you extra excited about pulling the trigger and grabbing yourself a copy stat.
Now, in honor of this being launch day and all, I thought I’d give you all a sneak peek into the beauty (and good time) that is Snackable Bakes via an introduction to the team behind the book: the photographer is Nico Scinco – a light wizard if you ask me and also the kindest peep on the planet. The food stylist is Kaitlyn Wayne – a genius with a tweezers and with epic creativity to boot – I mean will you look at what she did with my Rice Krispies Treats (and that’s her hand, too)?!
The prop stylist for the book is Charlotte Havelange and in case you are unsure the role such a stylist plays, she is in charge of all of the surfaces that the food is photographed on, or in front of, as well as the plates, spoons, cups, etc. For instance, check out this shot of my “Shhh Don’t Tell Secret Ingredient Devil’s Food Snacking Cake with Marshmallow Frosting – see the “wall” behind the cake? That’s one of Charlotte’s surfaces and the “table” that the plates are resting on? That’s another. The plates, and fork, too, of course are Charlotte’s and it is the whole package, of all those unique items combined, that helps make this image so striking.
So, peeps, I think I’ll leave it there for this newsiest of letters. See you in two weeks. Jessie XO
