Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the newsiest of newsy newsletters. Extremely excited that you have subscribed and am so looking forward to sharing my easy-peasy baking recipes with you, as well as the loads of fascinating, dare I say, JUICY tidbits and thoughts that I have been DYING to pass along on the regular, but until now, was without the proper outlet for doing so. In other words, lucky you, but also very lucky me. And also, quick aside: I love donuts (in case you were wondering), hence the photo below, and if you are a donut fan as well, might I suggest you check out this recipe.
Now, in case you are wondering if I am planning on inundating your inbox with a plethora of annoying emails, the answer is no. My newsletter will arrive twice a month and will be (relatively) short and sweet – just like my favorite kind of baking recipe. It will include a recipe or two of mine – perhaps from the Washington Post, Bon Appetit, Food52, the Kitchn, or the Spruce Eats, as well as a link to a recent video I’ve posted to Instagram or TikTok (in case you live under a rock and missed it – JOKE: I know you do not live under a rock and I also know that social media videos are not everybody’s cup of tea) – as well as news about my UPCOMING book: Snackable Bakes: 100 Easy-Peasy Recipes for Exceptionally Scrumptious Sweets and Treats. Eek!! So excited about this one . . .
It is also possible I will share more personal info with you in these newsy-letters, like what I ate for breakfast (or, if we’re being honest, what I didn’t eat, since I don’t eat breakfast), what I am thinking about making for dinner (or, more accurately, where I am thinking about ordering dinner from – full disclosure: I do not love preparing dinner for my family – sorry haters), my new (or old) favorite bakery, something funny my kid said, something infuriating my dog did (like eating the stick of butter I’d left on the counter to soften), what book I am reading and what TV show I am currently binging – and how frustrated I am that my husband starts shows with me and then insists that we only watch an episode or two at a time, rather than marathoning the whole season in a night or two (he’s a lightweight, FYI).
Anyway, I think/hope you get the picture: these newsy-letters o’ mine will be chock-full of so much good stuff that you will squeal with delight when you see my name pop up in your inbox . . . or something like that. Anyway, I’m certainly looking forward to all this sharing that’s going to be happening (and yes, there will be TMI on occasion, cause that’s just how I roll) and here’s to hoping you are, too.
