I'm interested in seeing a pumpkin chiffon pie recipe. My mother made one every year. She, like you, didn't care for the regular pumpkin pie. I remember it being light and fluffy. I'm not sure I still have the recipe. I copied it on an index card back in the 70s, but the recipe is probably from the 1960s. Thanks for reminding me.
Was this recipe in any of your previous books? I didn’t see it in your prior Snackable Bakes book. I also am not a pumpkin pie person but enjoy pumpkin in cakes & muffins. I think I need to try the pumpkin poke cake too. Sounds yummy!
I’m into icy, blended pumpkin lattes, feels healthier than a milkshake (probably isn’t). Thank you for this fun break in my day. Wondering how well Salty Cheesy translates into gluten-free…it’s a reality for our family due to my husband’s celiac diagnosis, but I try really hard to create fun and delicious recipes for him to enjoy, very hopeful that I’ll have good news to report about the GF versions of your recipes!
you're so welcome! i think that if you have a gluten free blend that works for you in baking recipes, it will 100% work in my recipes as they are, well, easy-peasy, and i feel like the blends work best with simpler recipes. let me know if you try them with a gluten free flour blend!
I made Jessie’s recipe for Crunchy Peanut Butter Banana Bread with GF flour & DF milk (unsweetened almond), but made muffins instead. It made 18 muffins & I baked them for 25 min but checked at 20. The GF & DF friend I made them for said they were wonderful. I used Walmart GF flour. I’m going to try the sweet potato biscuits & the thyme crackers next. So far so good! Give it a try. Her recipes are wonderful.
I read All Fours in one (painfully long) sitting (flight from Stockholm to Newark) and never want to see that book again. Too weird, it didn’t speak to me at all. I know that’s a controversial opinion, but I’m not scared to express it!
I would LOVE to have the pumpkin chiffon pie recipe. It sounds delicious.
coming up in two weeks!! XO

good for you! i did not find it "weird," per se, but i definitely was not a super fan like so many . . .
Hiring someone to decorate a motel bathroom is weird!
